WHAT IS IT?
Microblading is a manual "hand" method to create a form of tattoo artistry where a pigment is implanted under the skin. The effect is not permanent and creates extremely fine natural looking hair strokes. That way is possible to either refine or create the perfect shape for brows.
HOW IS THE FINAL RESULT?
The results are a natural, flawless, fuller-looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker but fade significantly over a two week period. It is absolutely crucial to have a touch-up done after 20 days, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment. After your touch-up, you are free from the obligation to fill in your eyebrows.
HOW IS IT DONE?
After discussing with our Ipanema Artists the shape and expectations, they will first temporarily draw the eyebrows and under your approval, starts the procedure. By using a very fine blade to draw and deposit pigments into the epidermis, the most natural hair effect is archieved.
At Ipanema Brows and Waxing we listen to all your concerns and wishes, put that together with our expertise and then give you the most natural result.
DOES IT HURT?
Microblading is superficial and tends to not hurt comparing to a regular tattoo. As pain is relative, some clients might be more sensitive than others. Anyhow, a topic numbing cream is used to minimize any possible discomfort.
IS IT GOING TO LOOK RED OR SWOLLEN?
The procedure is superficial, usually, redness and swollenness are little and lasts less than 1 hour after is done.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
The results can last anywhere from 8 months to 18 months. Depending on different skin characteristics, touch-ups might be applied.Back to Treaments Menu
